About Me:
My name is Santiago Sandoval, I have been kayaking since I was 14 years old and throughout my life I have dedicated most of my energy and time to spend more time on the river. I learned to paddle on the Maipo with an amazing group of friends and later on life I moved to Pucon where I found myself on some of most classic and beautiful rivers in the world. I love kayaking every single day on my home runs but I have a deep passion for running waterfalls and discovering new rivers, and I try to plasm my love for whitewater through films, photography and writing.

Favorite Places to Paddle:
I’d say that if I had to paddle only 3 rivers for the rest of my life, it’d be the Fuy, Futaleufú and Nevados!
Why I Love Kayaking:
Kayaking is a meditation where I can find myself enjoying the present at it’s max. It’s a powerful manifestation of the here and now.
Kayaking Accomplishments:
Running Salto del Puma, exploring new rivers in Patagonia and helping protect the rivers under threat.
Most Memorable Moment in Your Kayak:
Blue angel Newen with my brother Domingo and running the Trancura river from source to sea last spring.
