About Me:
My name is Mary Morgan. My first time down the river was when I was three years old and my childlike fascination with the water has never dwindled. I was raised boating on the Chattooga River and have now traveled the world for kayaking. I love exploratory kayaking, waterfalls, and long sunny days in a full slice. For me kayaking is all about having fun, pushing yourself, traveling, and spending time with lifelong friends.

I was raised in Long Creek, SC. I currently live in White Salmon, Wa.

Favorite Places to Paddle:
Some of my favorite places to paddle include Washington, the Southeast US, and Vera Cruz, Mexico
Why I Love Kayaking:
Kayaking is so spiritual for me. When paddling, I must give myself completely to the rivers I run, and in return I find the best part of who I am. Kayaking ultimately connects my mind, body, and soul. My time spent on the water is when I feel the most alive. There is no other life I’d rather live.
Kayaking Accomplishments:
Running the Grand Canyon Elwha after dam removal, Competing in NFC Qualifiers within my first 4 years kayaking, Exploring remote and seldom run rivers across multiple countries.
Most Memorable Moment in Your Kayak:
The first time I ran the Big Banana section of the Alseseca River.
