Hey there Hobie,
I´ve been holding on to a little secret for the past month waiting to get some pics lined up for a good update so here she goes. The day after my birthday (Dec. 28 thanks for remembering) I got the best present ever, La Paz. I had been dreaming about this one ever since I first heard about it and finally got my chance to paddle off the lip and enjoy a few seconds of freefall.
Nothing gets me focused like big water and big drops. Everything went perfect. Had a perfect angle and super soft landing. I didn´t break anything and rolled up at the bottom pretty stoked. I´ve also had some good luck finding other waterfalls that needed to be run including some that probably shouldn´t have been. Yesterday I found myself hiking my boat through town for an hour, finding a small creek at the dump and running a couple drops that I´m guessing have never been done before. In my next video you´ll get to see them and understand why. Otherwise the boating is starting to slow down and I´m about to tour around for a few months in central america with my wife.
